2023 ELEVSIS - International Press Conference
Inspired by the concept of 'ELEVSIS: the arrival of a notable figure,' we embarked on designing, planning, and executing the International Press Conference for Eleusis, crowned the European Capital of Culture for 2023. The venue for this landmark event was the X-Bowling Art Center, an innovatively repurposed former bowling alley, now a modern industrial space dedicated to hosting cultural events throughout the year.
Our design approach was minimal yet bold, aimed at underscoring the 2023ELEVSIS brand identity. This approach not only highlighted the significance ofthe event but also enriched the experience of our guests. The layout wasstrategically divided into three areas: Registration, Cocktail, andPresentation, creating a seamless flow for attendees. The venue was adornedwith captivating photographs showcasing the City of Eleusis, highlighting itsrich ancient heritage and distinctive post-industrial charm. A striking redpath, drawing inspiration from the brand's identity, guided guests from themain area to the stage. This path symbolized the historic sacred route fromAthens to Eleusis, revered in the Eleusinian Mysteries.
The press conference commenced with a heartfelt welcome from the Chairwoman of the BoD of 2023 Eleusis, followed by speeches from distinguished national and local government officials. The highlight of the event was the unveiling of the Artistic Programme by Michail Marmarinos, the General Artistic Director of 2023 Eleusis. His presentation traversed through the annals of Eleusis, from its ancient roots to its contemporary significance, culminating in an exclusive video produced for the occasion.
